    Hah.

It really depends on where you live. Cable networks are an amalgam of lots
of little networks, some of which were put together properly, some of which
were done in an afternoon from a Maplin catalogue. That said, I know a
couple of people near porl who have BY and they have no problems. And if
the net's a bit shitty, there's plenty of porn on pay-per-view

You choose a bad time to think of moving. Due to the new extended
reach limits, BT are up to their armpits trying to get all those
    country bumpkins connected.

Wot he says. I've not used them for Broadband but I've used them for
other services (web hosting with ASP & Db etc.). I used to work with a
northern nobber wot used to work for them and it was on his
    recommendation .

Good they are, cheap too, and they fix things quickly when they are
    broken. IME of course.

However, Zet failed to get ADSL activated for me in Milton Keynes, after
several weeks of trying, whereas Pipex had it sorted in a couple of
    days.

Currently with Virgin, who've been fine (so far).

  14. Well, I guess most normal people have better things to do with their
time than performing digs and nslookups in response to random usenet
messages. I, on the other hand, am a very, very, sad bastard. ;)

Isn't that a euphemism for the morning after a particularly poor

As I wrote it, I did think of all those spam mails that whiz past.

Its fibre to the outside wall here :)
Still possibly a cable qualtiy issue, NTL did do some "cheap" installs.
Or they did not do a proper contention ratio calc.

I think I had that recently. The speed of my BB [1] connection had
dropped to the point of complaining.

Next day a couple of NTL monkeys arrived and were next seen with big
cable reels and blue string: "basically, it's a fatter cable".

[1] May as well have been worked by little grey men.
