British Rally

  1. Nice turnout this weekend at Newstead for the All British Rally
Some really nice bikes, Veteran, Vintage, Classic and new bikes
    Liked the Veteran ones.
Too many to photograph and too many to even take a group photo.
The Ariel square 4's looked good, as did the Vincents, comets, Prince, HRD
and a couple I could not recognise.
The one which did take my eye was the Panther 600 with the double passenger
sidecar with the passengers in tandem.
Can't remember the name but it did start with "C"

IIRC Canterbury made a double adult chair. It may or may not have looked
    something like http://kevindean.zenfolio.com/img/v1/p478789260-3.jpg

  3. Thanks for that,
    Complete with Panther.
I knew the chair started with a "C".
It had a chrome name badge along the left front side of the bodywork
The one I saw, was the same as that one, apart from the colours, it was
    black and yellow,
bike not as shiny, but a classic just the same
We were trying to work out how the rear passenger got in.

    Gentlemen,

I hate (no, really) to be a wet blanket but if I had any vestige of
testicles left after three divorces, I would possibly wager one of them
that that particular chair is, in fact, a Double Adult Watsonian. Ran
one of them for a few years on an A10 in the UK. Had a sliding sunshine
roof and a fair sized boot (trunk). I could sit in the front seat and
stretch my legs out in front of me. It regularly took me, my wife and
two eldest children up and down the country. I even put a roof rack on
mine to take a folded-down pram.

  5. Nice one Nigel, but this one was a Canterbury, when the name came up, I
recalled the badge on the side
without glasses, it looked first like Centenary

Front seat tips forward - like a Mini :) or an MG Y Tourer

This one perhaps might be a Canterbury?

  8. Great links David, thanks
someone threw in a wobbly and thought that the second passenger may have
got in through the canvas roof
