R I C, thought it was something serious, if you post to UKRM a lack of
    mental balance is normal.

Ah, but I'm not. The doctor told me so.

    Semi-detatched suburban slave, that's me.

Didn't see the program but I've been reviewing my reasons for working
recently. Decided that I'd try to work less and spend more time doing
things I really enjoy. Even if it means working part time and the
associated loss of income. Haven't quite worked out how to replace the
day job with un-earned income though. Might be able to cut back on some
    expenses to compensate.

Of course. We capture errant tourists, and make them work our
treadmills to generate the terawatts we secretly use to power our,
    erm, stuff.

Spare room and board in Holywood, single or double. Feel free etc. more
than welcome. Weather is rather nice just now and long daylight hours.
Lots of nice places and roads to explore.

Thank you mate, I appreciate it.

If Mrs WUN was at a similar loose end, I'd take your hand off. But she's
not, and I need an anchor at the moment, IYSWIM.

I'm going fishing tomorrow. For the first time in <mumbelty-mumble>
years. I expect to enjoy myself. :^)

    Cheers

If you find an answer to making pointless things seem less so, let me

Just accept that they are pointless. My job (and yours too, I guess),
consists of doing a constantly changing stream of pointless things,
99% of which, in (say) 5 years time will be completely forgotten.
Doesn't bother me in the slightest, tho, as it pays me enough to ****
about on fast motorbikes the rest of the time.

This is what I'm trying to get myself to think.

However I do worry there's a fine line between happiness/acceptane and lack
    of ambition/laziness.

I have, but as Nigel's flipping out on one he might come up with a
better way, or at least an entertaining slant on things.
I was looking at some of those yesterday. No used gixxer thous to be
seen in any of the dealers though, in fact there didn't seem to be many
    litrebikes at all.

Not as a snide remark (seriously), how is your wrist these days?

I took the Strom out for a 50 mile run yesterday and whilst I miss the
precision of the GSX-R, I've got none of the (back)aches with the Strom. I'm
wondering how long it'll take before my brain forgets the pain of the GSX-R
    and I decide I want a 1000 :)
