  1. you can get BMI flights out of heathrow to schiphol for about a ton
return (not sure on the one way cost).

Ferry from Hook to Harwich is about £150 - I know I just booked one.

When are you at this loose end - if you're in the country, beer, etc etc..

Sorry, bad form, failed to answer question re: when.

As of 10:15 this morning, when the nice lady Doctor[1] signed me off for
    two weeks.

All a bit odd, really. I went into the surgery feeling OK-ish, but a bit
under the weather / cosh, and experienced a most peculiar reaction to
our little chat. I've always been fairly secure in my knowledge of
what's occurring inside my head[2]. But apparently something unpleasant
has snuck up on me. Ho-hum.

Anyway, I've got (at least) a couple of weeks to figure it all out, and
    decide what to do next.

    [1] Not that one...
[2] Usually remarkably little, so it's not a hard subject.

  5. ahh yes, I always forget about Luton.
well yes, but that'd mean riding through NL and Belgium - at 70mph. Ish.
    But not much more.

    well yes, but when? ish?

On a Dutch registered bike that would be about to acquire UK Plates? I
think that a little more that 70 would be appropriate... ;^)

    I've got a hook-harwich ferry booked on the 8th July. 16:00 departure.

Whether you fancy using that as a target or something to avoid is up to
    you )

  10. You reckon? at 100 you're looking at go directly to the courthouse, no
    pass go, no collect euros.

Up to that, it's a sliding scale, but my recent 'chat' with a member of
the Politie, rendered me speechless that 95mph was looking at circa 500
    euro fine.

fook that. Says he that was a bit late for a meeting this morning and
hoofed it at about 150mph for several motorway junctions. Bliss, but I
was working on the, "I'm getting off the m'way very soon, anything
copper I pass, isn't going to catch me, and I won't be on the M'way long
enough to set a road block" theory.

  12. Oh dear. That's what visits to the doc do; you come out feeling worse
    than when you went in.

Apropos of buggerall; my current GP is the first one I've had that's
    actually younger than me.

It's a problem with the contents of my mind, how serious could it be?
    :^)

It's not a biggie, just life getting to me a bit for some (yet to be
determined) reason. I'm not quite at the vein-opening stage.
Hmm... I'm currently scheduled back to work on the 1st, but that may
    become a moveable feast.

Hope it's just a mental thing and not something physical.

If it's mental I've been told that exercise is the first port of call.
Stops you thinking too deeply as you're concentrating on taking deep
breaths. The pain from muscles you haven't used for ages keeps you
occupied when you stop exercising too.
