Where have people found the best offers? Via their
websites, on those stalls you see at service stations,
in magazines? I'm looking for breakdiwn cover for my
German reg bike and British reg car, ideally here and
abroad. Don't really care if it's AA, RAC, Greenflag,
who else? Any pointers greatly appreciated.

The web provided the best deals when I looked a few months ago. You need to
compare T&Cs carefully as the things covered vary. E.g. some give you a
hire car if yours is waiting repairs.

I bought a Mondial Assistance Euro policy from KwikFit insurance for £69
    for my car.

My bike is covered by the Carol Nash breakdown scheme included in the
    insurance policy.

    provides a price comparison service.

A mate of mine got European cover for a small amount with his bike
insurance, but discovered to his horror that it only covered him for one
breakdown abroad in any one year. Well, he found this out 2 days after
they came and replaced his fuel pipe when his engine went bang and he
    needed recovering.

Check for this sort of thing when you phone up about the policies!

I saw that on the RAC and AA website, and think that would suit
me best anyway. When I had a play with Greenflag, they wanted all
sorts of info, more like an insurance, so I though feck off.
Prolly go with one of the bigger ones, and RAC comes in cheaber I
    believe.
