A really great spectator circuit that one. There are so many places you can
stand and see a whole lot of the track.

It's all airfences, too, meaning you're very close to the action.

In the one spot where I was I saw Foret get run over, McCoy crash, Corser
and Toseland crash, Laconi crash, and Muggas take Charpentier on the final
lap as well as various other less exciting things. Oh yeah a certain
smoking Ducati engine unfortunately planted underneath Steve Martin.

Brilliant day. Lots of shade, too. You can BYO anything, which has the
handy outcome that beers bought at the circuit are nice and cheap. So was
    food, actually.

Sounds like your "BYO anything" included some form of high pressure oil
dispenser conveniently aimed at the same corner your camera was aimed at...
    :)

Lucky devil - I'm jealous. Brands looks great from the odd driving sim I've
played years ago. Watching TOCA at Brands was always a thrill back when it
was televised locally. Oh, is this a bike forum?? :)

Speaking of pictures, are you considering putting anything online?? I'd be
    keen to take a look-see.

Didn't bring my card reader with me, so they'll have to wait until I get
home in a couple of weeks. Doubt I got many good ones of the race to be
honest; 2x zoom doesn't go far. I'll put some up though.

    Yep. ;-)

They had mostly nekkid girlies dancing on poles advertising some strip club
    called "Pole Position"

Wouldn't get that down at the island!
