Brakes and Stuff?

I'm looking at some more upgrades and I was wondering if anyone has
ever had any experience with Galfer brake systems? I'm looking at the
wave rotors, SS braided brake lines, and brake pads for the
    Hurricane.

Something else that I'm looking at is the gearing when I change the
chain this year. I'm looking at upping the rear 3 teeth. I want the
bike to get light when I twist the throttle, but not so light that I
can't lean forward to control it and bring it back down. The bike
pulls up when I bump the clutch, but I would rather not have to clutch
it. I'm not looking for high speeds on the bike, just lower
torque...without giving up too much high end and not getting too wild
causing the bike to bang the rear end. Any suggestions? Has anyone
used "Sum of All Parts" located here in Texas?

Hopefully by March or April I'll have the bike going to get paint and
plating. I'm going with a deep black base, dark red ghost flames
(similar to the Blackbird), and powder coat the wheels and fork tubes
a dark red. I'm going to replace the front fender with a fender from
an F2 so the fork tubes can be seen. I'm going to have all the emblems
removed except I'll have "Hurricane" painted on the tank in the same
color as the flames, and in the same writing character (font style).
I've been looking for a seat cowling, but haven't had any luck finding
one that wasn't a slip on/velcro type. I'll likely also have the swing
arm removed and either powder coated or plated to match the red in the
bike. Once I get all this done, then I'm thinking I'll be looking at
doing the lights inside the fairing and under the seat. All of this
would be mostly dependent on whether I'd feel comfortable using the
Blackbird on commutes and/or whether I can get out of town travels
long enough to keep me from wanting to ride while the bike is in the
    shop(s). Any opinions?

I think Galfer has a good rep for parts. I changed the rear sprocket on the
CB1000 and geared it a little lower. I think it made it more ridable on the
street, but made it more buzzy on the highway. I would do it the same way
again. If you can find a good powder coater, I think that is the way to go
instead of paint on frame and engine parts. I would sure like to see your
Hurricane when you finish, I bet it is a really nice ride.
