Brake Tech Full-Floating Ductile Iron Rotor review

Discussion in 'Bay Area Bikers' started by Michael Sierchio, Sep 10, 2005.

  1. Aside from the fact that the iron rotors w/carriers (black anodized to
go with my black Marchesini forged Aluminum wheels) cost $329.95 + tax
a PIECE (uh, yes, multiply by two) and that I had to wait nearly SIX
MONTHS for them, they're great. I had the rotors installed and put
200 or so miles on the bike to wear off the coating, which loaded up
the pads, and took the bike in to put on new Ferodo pads.

In a word -- awesome. Very nice in braking from speed, very predictable
without fade when dragging the brake on the twisties. I'm happy.

Strange, but the carbon fiber bits I'd been waiting for FOR THE SAME
SIX MONTHS suddenly appeared this week, too. I'll take pictures when
I can repair the scratches in the plastic parts that I'm keeping.
