Had the caliper off my gpz900 tonight cos I wanted to check the piston not
sticking. However, now that I have re-assembled the thing, I can't get any
pressure at the pedal, doesn't seem to be bleeding at all. There is no
obvious leakage around the piston so the seals appear to be intact, and the
caliper body is perfect. Any suggestions?

They do, rather. Oh, they pull it up, but you need a helluva strong
    right hand.

They work okay - well, the front ones anyway. The back is no better than
the front brake on the Z200. But I've got the span adjuster out on max, and
I can still almost get the lever back to the bar.

That said, the bike as a whole is a terrific long-distance express:
    Thornbury-Brighton and back at a door-to-door including-all-stops average
    speed of 78mph...

  12. That it is, but so are other bikes, to be fair. What I like about the
Trophy is that incredible grunt and top-gear whizz. I can't think of a
big bike I've ridden recently with that sort of torque.

Yep, it's like an automatic at times - you just don't bother to change gear.

I was using the Drifter yesterday, and marvelling at how light and delicate
and small it was. And slow. In fact, it was reminiscent of the Z200...

  15. Yes and it's all in a database. When you own thousands of records - as I
do - you need some semblance of order and lists.

I admit I nearly numbered my socks so that I could wear them in
rotation. Then I realised that I could simply wear the black pair one
day, and the dark grey pair the next and so on and so on.
