For some strange reason four of us from Oxford all on new
Sprint ST's are going to Bradford on friday, staying until
Sunday lunch and coming back, why I have no idea but it
seemed a good idea when it was booked, so where if
anywhere is a good place to have a ride out to saturday?

    Thanks
    Alan

I'd head for the Dales. Maybe Kettlewell, Coverdale to Leyburn, then
either Wensleydale or, better, Swaledale or the bleaker
Arkengarthdale, then Buttertubs Pass to Hawes. Back to Kettlewell, or
Ribblesdale or, if you must, hang out at Devil's Bridge, Kirby
    Lonsdale.

Don't talk to me about Sprint STs - unreliable pieces of crap[1]

    *mumblemuttermumble*

[1] Yesterday (the day before I flew out to the US for the week, and
    with me
completing the sale of my flat next week[2]) I just need to ride the
    bike to
the new address in Bracknell. And it refuses to start - turns over
    fine but
no ignition. All my tools have gone to the new place already, not
    that I'm
competent enough to have sorted out anyway. The AA bloke was useless
so now I've got to get them to take it away to somewhere that can fix
    it[3]
as soon as I get back.
[2] Talk about bad fucking timing.
[3] I've booked it into Bulldog Triumph in Twyford as close-ish to
    both work
and my new abode. Someone please tell me they're not a bunch of
    cunts.

Well I guess being the lazy gits we are we wont leave until 10am at the
    earliest
on the saturday and will want to be back by 4pm and have a nice long lunch
    break somwhere.

I'll have a looksie on a map, when I can find one, and thanks to the other
    posters here, will look about.

I've used them for servicing my 675 - no issue so far, they seem ok. I
didn't need it at the time but they let you take -any- of their bikes
away while they service yours. I was tempted to try a Rocket just for a
laugh. They're not far from where I work - let me know if you need any
    help with the logistics.

No, everything goes dead with the killswitch off.

As I found out at Dover not long after I got the bike and
    bumped into Kiran, the git.

Really? Would investing in a TuneBoy allow me to do that?

I went there for a uni open day in the mid 90s. Halfway through the
tour, the bloke showing us around cape out with the blinder "if you're
not racist when you come to Bradford, you will be by the time you
    leave."

Wonderful place. Wonderful people. Avoid like the plague.

That about sums up the place. Lots of suspicious looking fuckwits and their
    fully veiled bitches.

You live in Leeds, no? Face it, that's just the posh suburb of Bradford.

I didn't see a white face heading round the NW ring road recently. Not that
I care what colour they are but if they want to live in Iran then why not
just go there. I expect they just love cool damp climates.
