I took the missus to Dubbo once for a weekend. Stayed at the Country Club.
They had the best garlic prawn entree I've ever had. 30 years later Helen
still says, "These prawns are not as nice as the ones we had in Dubbo".

Sounds like you're richer too :)
Hmm, never really got to permanently stressed - 6 months straight was
the worst, but that was years ago
Absolutely, never been motivated by money, if I didn't enjoy what I did
I wouldn't do it, hence why my job IS important to me, I like what I
    do..

I spent most of 1997 on a plane, I've got all these interesting stamps
in my passport from countries about which I can only tell you what
their airports and hotels look like.

    JL
(I can't understand why people think it's fun either, it is however a
necessary evil, somethings just don't work over video conf)

Based on the law speaking i know, i have to prove they were in direct
control and custody of the gvm. Yes i have found similar situations were i
have been unable to prove ownership of the drugs, thus the drugs are simply
    confiscated and destroyed.
the term beyond reasonable doubt, their was enough doubt on that case it
wouldn't hold up in any court..

I wasn't their, the only info ive got is the TV

But, reasonable cause to believe that bag handlers could have placed the
    drugs in the bag.

She was not in control of the drugs, she put a bag into the bag handlers,
then she gets arrested at the other end for having a garbage bag full of
    green stuff.

Would somebody be that stupid that they think they could take a garbage bag
load of gvm through an air port.

being interviewed with out a translator to obtain this so called admission.

no forensic evidence such as the bag being finger printed.

and now the apparent refusal to allow some hot shot qc's to help because
their Australian. Sounds like they rather keep it all in house.

This is more than enough to create a doubt - and I can only describe the way
the court was run is barbaric and im sure a medievil court was more fair.

Theo, i have a saying, and so do a lot of people out here, "dont eat sea
food so far from the sea."

that wasnt prawns you were eating, thats why they dont taste the same

Even the bush has refigeration these days.

Although I do wonder about the sign outside the pub at Maindample that
declares that they have "Fresh Fish Every Week".

(My brother used to work for a coolstore/iceworks in a country centre.
I asked him what was the best place to eat. "The Motor Inn, they're the
only ones that don't get their seafood from us". It seems the
proprieter made twice-weekly trips to the fish market.)

I asked the same question at the time. They said arrived on the plane today
    and every day.

The video conf unit worked OK, it just wasn't terribly useful - frame
rates low and BLOODY expensive considering data rates back then. The
flight to the US was worth it just to save the irritation of trying to
    use the stupid thing.

I strongly doubt that the evidence from the Australian witness claiming
that he knew of people who planted drugs would have been dismissed so
    easily.

Over here that in itself could very well have been enough to establish
    reasonable doubt.
