    Hi all

    Boycott Indonesian products from today.

Check for 'Made in Indonesia' on all products.

Let's send the Indonesian Government a clear message that the conviction and
sentencing of Schapelle Corby is unacceptable.

Most people think she is innocent, but even so, 20 years for possession of a
    naturally occurring plant is ridiculous.

Apparently Yuasa batteries are made there. Not sure.

Don't let the missus talk you into going to Bali for a dirty weekend. This
boycott thing is gonna be tough !!

Oh, and when you don't give her a birthday present, just explain that
everything you had wanted to buy for her was 'Made In Indonesia'. She'll
    understand !

9lbs of weed in her bags ....
If you do the crime then you run the risk of doing the time.
One less Sheila for you boys though, I bet that puts the shivers down the
spines of all aussie sheep reading this group.

Possession of 4kg of cannabis is taking the piss though. That's a lot
    of gear.

What would prison term would possesion of a similar amount get you
over here? You'd certainly be done for supplying.

  6. There is a further twist on all this, which goes beyond the [1] she's as
guilty as **** or [2] she was fitted up by the naughty Indonesians. There's
some speculation that the baggage-handlers between Oz and Indonesia are in
cahoots, using unwitting mules like her to ship the gear, but this time
    something went wrong.

Bollocks, you ****. Break another country's laws, and you deserve
    what you get.
"4kg of illegal drugs" is a bit different to "possession of a
naturally occurring plant", isn't it? A bit less palatable to the
dimwits who might be conned into giving a **** about this.

I read on the BBC News website that the Aussie chief of Police doesn't
think that's true in this case.

And in INdonesia you get an inquisitorial court system with no presumption of
    innocence.

    So don't fucking go there.

If I import dope into Kuwait, I know they'll stretch my neck. So I
    don't do it.

It's a good point. We should be wary of weak distinctions between
narcotics and alcohol, though. My point was about the law.

Funnily enough, I smuggled alcohol into Kuwait yesterday. I don't
actually know what the penalties are, but if I'd got caught, I'd have
    taken it like a man.

I know what the penalties are for smuggling narcotics (public hanging)
    so I don't do it.

But, supposing someone else put some narcotics in your bag without your
knowledge. Would you have taken the subsequent hanging like a man?

That would be unfair. However, that seems unlikely to be the
situation in the case in question.

    Its largely speculation either way.

Point is, the protest is against this aussie bint being fitted rather than
protesting the right of aussies bints to carry large amounts of drugs
through customs without any legal red tape.

    Smuggling scam involving baggage handlers?
She was on a family holiday. Doesn't fit the usual profile really.
