    That's how it went. Bugger.

Low-ish speed drop onto the left as the front washed
out while braking on some overbanding apparently.
Left a nice dark line on the tarmac, then some red
ones, then a nice little smattering of glass and
misc bits of plastic. Then a large puddle of coolant.

Result - top fairing, screen, headlight, headlight bucket,
left side, water pump cover, radiator twisted slightly,
left rearset, tank dent, seat unit holed, left side
    carbon air tube disintigrated.

**** me it's going to be expensive...

That's what I was thinking as I read through your post.

Oh well, it's only a Ducati.

No and no. My own stupid fault, so I'll be fixing it.
Have already been promised a few parts that I need very
cheap through people in the club, so should be able to
sort it pretty cheap. I only need a radiator (or attempt
to fix the twisted one...) and a headlight bucket to be
running again for the trackday in 2 weeks, then I'll keep
it off road and pick stuff up as it comes available.
Just a bruised hip and scuffed leathers, so nothing
that could make me look better. Thanks for asking.

I may well see how many bits I have in the "sweepings"
bag and if it's worth getting El Spic to have a bash
    with the plastic welder...

    Bring it up here, mate.

We'll have the plastics off it, mattblack it and put a Pixietail on it
    for you. FOC.

    You'd laaave it.

I'm thinking of matt black if I repaint the trackday
fairing, especially now the tank needs repainting...

I don't s'ppose there's anything about the overbanding (like how wide it is
or where its been placed) which would give a basis of a claim for
negligence? ............. If other aspects of the highway are crap *and*
the responsible authority either do nowt in a reasonable time frame to make
it good, or like in this case, are the *cause* of the problem (and if not
them then someone else who should have known) then they're liable.
