Honmda SL125. Non-standard paint, and a few other things, but looks
excelent, talked to the seller before bidding, and I have wanted one of
    these for ages.

Would you believe, Dave Silver still does brand new complete forks for
these for £39 a side? And, I see, a complete tail light assembly (I'm
sure it should be chromed) for £21. Side panel badges might require some
    hunting down, mind.

    <Looks again>

Blimey, and a genuine owner's handbook for £3.50!

Hmmm. WTF is he getting married?
    Parsed that as Homda.
    Cute, if weirdly spindly-looking.

    On Tue, 27 Feb 2007 22:19:50 +0000,
Happy days. My first ever bike was one of them. Looks in decent nick,
but a fucking abortion of a paint job. Mine (also an N-plate) was
silver, with red tank-lining, IIRC. Lacking the black tank top of
    earlier models.
I used to have some sort of workshop manual kicking around. Haven't
seen it for years, so it's probably gone walkies longtime.

I actually rather like that paint job, and apparently it's a pro job
in lovely nick. If I decide I don't like it, it's easily changed. All
UK models were in silver, I think, though I know they also did a green
    one in other markets.

Anyway, I've just spent another £131 with D Silver Esq. I commented
that I was startled at how much SL125 stuff he had, and he said that
they bought a large job-lot some time back, but when it's gone, it's
    gone.

Prolly not much help for this project, but might be of interest to you,
or anyone else for that matter.

I have copies of XL125S and XL/XR250S/R manuals in PDF format I could
email you (Files less than 10mb) I think there's also a set of .jpg's
of the exploded drawings for an XL1000Varadero, if anyone's interested
    ... Came on a CD with a bike I quickly off-loaded again. ;)

This email addy is mine and is working ...

  6. I've got a factory CB125S manual (same engine), thanks all the same.

Thus spake platypus () unto the assembled multitudes:
The wife-to-be sounds a bit of a dragon, putting her foot down before
they've even tied the knot. He's in for a hard ride :)

If you want to win the race, you shouldn't start from the back of the field.
