Was down at the local upside downy face brigade bash over the weekend
and saw one of these in real life

Wtf is the point? It's wider than a wing ffs! Ok, in a sort of why
would anybody chrome the alternator sort of way it is an expression of
something, but Dog only knows what.

Impressive, yes. Chrome, lots of. Big, you bet, but why?

This one had those bloody 6' across handlebars on it which it must be
said was a lot of the width. Even so, a 5.7 litre V8 cannot be
considered sylphlike, even in a bloody car chassis.

The tank was massive, assuming that was what it was, 8.5 gallons
    apparently.

I think the engine's a 'hemi', as used in the dodge ram, amongst
others, in which case it'd be possible to fit the EMS that turns four
cylinders off when the motor's not stressed. So maybe you could turn
them off "full time" for the froggy immatriculation, then turn it back
on, as do many litre-bike oweners, IYSWIM.

Then again, even then it'd probably be well over the linit.
