The BBC site has been very poor for ages. You often get complete
contradictions between the national summary, the local 5-day and
regional forecasts.

Yesterday, for example, it said +5C for this coming Friday in the 5-day
forecast by postcode and yet the national summary had +12C.

 

Too right: and check things like the Teletext and Freeview stuff as well,
all of them are likely too disagree wildly.

 

It'll be great, I'm planning to drive over, say hello to people, have
some food, perhaps a couple of pints, and **** off home again.

wisdom:

Call me a courier (and old fashioned), but if it's raining outside it's
going to be wet and if it's sunny, you take your waterproofs (unless
it's been dry for at least a week.

If the weather changes and you're not prepared, you get wet.

If you forget your stuff and the sky's black when you leave but stay
dry, you've had a lucky escape.

 

More cars than bikes at this rate.

That'll make several of us I think! I'm really not a fan of riding the R1
in the snow & ice, having spent many years slipping & sliding on ice on
previous bikes, I now have a nice warm stable car instead. PFF? Ho yuss.
