The varlet known as Ben Blaney did proclaim to all assembled:

Quite a common phrase up here in Lancashire.

Quite a common pastime amongst females between 14 and 19 round here,
    too. :-/

Nice. We will let events unfold then.

Really. It rather begs the question of how do you imagine me then?

I used to have a two piece set of Rivetts leathers in pale blue with
gold linings. Kin dogs nads they were. You can't believe how much time
I used to spend looking in shop windows when I had them on. Especially
as the bike had blue over gold metal flake plastics.

    An offer I cannot refuse.

lol. I have already given sweller first dibs on them for a specific trip.
However if he doesn't want them, I'll probably be chucking them out anyway,
so you'd be welcome to have them.(although I'm finding it rather difficult
to imagine you in turquoise and navy racing leathers;o)

Only thing is, they were custom made years ago for a short arse who never
collected them from Skidlids in Manchester (I've had them 21 years). I'm
5'6" and they fit me ok, but any one over 5'8" who tried wearing them would
hit soprano everytime they sat down.

But you're always welcome to try them if you want.

no, it's a tourer - a Dawes Galaxy. Basically like a racer, but more
comfortable and a luggage rack. Oh, and probably heavier than a racer.

I'll probably be able to sell it for at least as much as I paid Ace
    for it (150 notes).

And more importantly, more relaxed frame angles so it steers a bit
slower but will be more stable, especially with luggage on.
Chainstays will also be slightly longer than a 'racer' to give a
    longer wheelbase.
