Less than 2 weeks to go folks. What follows is the original invite to
the BOSM - read and digest and follow the very simple instructions if
    you wish to attend.

    <start>

Yes folks, it's that time of year again.

In keeping with ukrm tradition we're holding another Beginning of
Summer Meet for all you lovely people at the reknowned Black Horse Inn.
This year I want to see people, lots of people and some new smiley
faces amongst you too, so all you newbies and lurkers can dust off your
leathers and HG textiles, drag your bikes out of hibernation and join
in the merriment. This is an open invite to anyone who cares to come
along, with the usual "No cunts" rule applied of course (you know who
you are). I am assured that there will be the usual high standard of
local totty behind the bars for us to perv over.

The plan for the weekend is to turn up, find your digs or erect your
tent in the pub's garden, then get pissed and talk drunken bollocks
before collapsing in a drunken stupor after trying to explain the
universe to the uninitiated. If anyone finds this difficult I'm sure
Whinging Courier can instruct on the getting pissed bit, and if you ask
Blaney nicely he'll explain how to talk drunken bollocks in fine style.
Ukrm has a fine tradition of being able to do both, so you won't be
stuck for company should you be a master of either. Of course Mu's
excellent spread of food will be available for those wishing to eat
with us on Saturday evening, and as anyone will tell you, it is of the
highest quality with a wide range to suit all tastes. A fantastic
breakfast is also put on for those who are able to move on Sunday
morning. There is a small charge for both evening meal and breakfast to
be sorted by each individual with Mu.

Free camping is available in the pub garden for quite a few tents, and
there are bed and breakfast places very close by for the PFFs amongst
you; no doubt details of where these are will be posted in this thread
over the next few days, but I haven't a clue where they are cos I
normally camp or have a room at the pub. Rooms at the pub are available
but they get snapped up very quickly, so if you want one you'll have to
be very very quick. Mine is already booked, so nah nah nah :)

On a sad note, this year may be a little bit different for those who
have attended in the past, because one major character will not be with
us from now on. I refer to Mike Edwin, the landlord, who was Eddie of
this parish's father and someone I'd grown to regard as a good friend.
As some of you know, Mike passed away on Dec 29th 2009 after a short
illness. What I'd like to see is as many folk who'd met and knew Mike
be at the pub to give him a belated farewell. If you can, do your best
to be there please, as I think we all owe it to both Mike and his wife
Mu to show our respect and appreciation for all the effort they've put
in to make us welcome for so many years. I'm sure you'll all join me in
extending our condolences to Mu and her family on their sad loss. RIP
    Mike.

I'd rather do them in a workshop cos the adjuster screws are a **** to
access, besides, I'm at the BOSM as a break from working.
