I'm trying to work this one out. I mean, you don't GAF about the
promised punch in the face and I wouldn't suspect that you're scared of
it. So either it's just a crap excuse for not going, or you're trying
    deliberately to provoke.....

I suspect there'd be a bigger than ever turnout if both of you were
intending to go. Not that I think anything would actually happen.

Do you really? I don't think it would make a blind bit of difference.
It certainly wouldn't motivate me to get off my arse and ride >100 miles
to listen to a bunch of bullshit and shiver in a field when I can do all
of the above in the 'comfort' of my own home where the drinks are priced
at a price I like and there's decent coffee.

I think so, although I suspect the majority of the target audience
would be attending in any event.
I didn't say it would make me want to attend.

no, it's a joke. I'm fairly sure Bear doesn't really intend to punch
me in the face if we ever meet again. And even if he is, I reckon I
can run faster than an ex-smoker with a gimpy back.
I don't, to be honest. I rather suspect most people couldn't give much
of a ****. Although I'm sure there are also some who'd enjoy seeing me
get a punch in the face.
    well, as above, no.

    They are. Business Class, natch.

In fact, due to the peculiarities of the "industry", my trip changed
between taking off in Kuwait and landing in London: instead of going
somewhere else, I'm going back to Kuwait on Sunday. I'm now
effectively on a business trip to go to see West Ham, deliver some
dates to an old man smelling of wee, and go to a mate's wedding.

If you want to go, let me know asap. It's not too late right up intil a
couple of days beforehand, but obviously I'd prefer to know sooner so we
have time to set the booby-traps up.

Same goes for anyone planning on going. I need to know by email to
so I can count you up and inform Mu how many to
    cater for.

Come along, the more the merrier.

If you're serious let me know by email to so I can
add you to the total number who will be eating. Food costs less than 20
quid and there's no charge to pitch a tent at the pub, just spend it at
    the bar instead.

It's not a "there are no bikes for sale" thing, it's a "the NHS is
outing people left, right and centre, and **** knows where my next
    contract/quid is coming from" thing.

But I suspect you knew that, you cheeky little scamp.[/QUOTE]

I didn't. Perhaps you should consider settling down and getting a
    nice, safe, permie job.
offering you a Honda was the point...

is this because you get to spend huge wodges of tax-payers money and
not actually be expected to come up with a functioning system at the
end of a rediculously long development cycle?

He has just been round to deliver my Dates. A splendid chap he is.

The good life is certainly showing round his waist. In fact I do
suggest that when you are talking to him about bikes; suspension
upgrades should form a major part of the conversation.
