    And? What's the damage?
Well if you want to test it out on some decent terrain let me know
    when...

    I don't know yet.
Well rather I do know the cartilage is damaged and possibly some
peripheral issues but I need to wait until the Consultant looks it over.

For Bandit12 owners, it's the difference between whanging the fucker
open and incrementally squeezing it on. In Summer, it grips and hoists.
The rest of the year, it provokes lurid sideways slides. Throttle
control, that's what it's all about.

I've never owned a bike with heated grips, but I've ridden a few. Most
uncomfortable things, they are. Toasted palms and because of that, the
backs of the hands and especially the thumbs feel colder than the
    should. Awful stuff.

I can see the point on bikes that are ridden all the time in really cold
and wet conditions, in conjunction with handguards (or a fucking great
windstopper barn-door type fairing) which keep the breeze off the backs
of the hands, but I'd never fit heated grips in isolation to one of my
    bikes.
The season turned here - on September 1st. Just like that, there was a
drop in humidity and because of that, the zephyrs chilled instead of
merely breezing past. The days may have been sunny, but the heat wasn't
there any more and the evenings have become nippy again. Just how I
like it - clear, crisp and fresh.

You'd see the point if you were riding to a winter rally in sub zero
temperatures and the simple addition of a pair of handlebar muffs
makes a massive difference. Heated grips along with heated gloves and
    heated body warmers are brilliant.

That 'headlight not pointing straight ahead' sensation is very familiar. I
find that I gradually move my hand backwards around the throttle, so
restricting the throttle opening I can get without taking another handful.
It usually takes me a couple of weeks in spring to adjust back so I can get
    full throttle again.
I sort of agree with you, but they do just take the edge off the chill for
short trips. To be honest, the comment was a bit tongue in cheek as I
haven't bothered with heated grips on the Fazer. I have coped admirably with
decent summer gloves and silk liners (or 'draught stoppers' if it's really
chilly) throughout winter. The fairing must be better than it looks in
    protecting the hands.

It's winter in my world. It was dark when I went to work this morning
    too.
