    I really quite enjoyed the Foundation series, the early books more so than
    the later ones.

    In the ukrm book club thread somebody mentioned Pratchett re-using ideas,
    whereas Asimov must be at the opposite end of the scale. He seemed to get
    bored with an idea almost before he'd finished writing it down and I quite
    liked the scatter-gun effect that it created.

    I also think that "Second Foundation" was my favourite of the books, which
    is probably why I got the reference with no problems.
