Just make sure you've strapped the sleeping bag securely to the seat.
It tends to prevent haring down the M6 Toll oblivious to the gently
alight bundle that's balancing on your numberplate, inches from the
    rapidly rotating back wheel.

Said bundle does make a nice smoke-ring bazooka though.

  4. I'm 6'3" and there's room a plenty. Sleeping bags aren't like condoms.
One size really does fit all ;)

  5. I've seen blue ones. I think to say they're florescent would be a
struggle but they are rather bright.

    as would spelling it.

Not enough unfortunately which is why I use those of the One True
    Colour.

  7. Indeed. I will try harder[1]
Flourescent blue doesn't look that fluorescent anyway IYSWIM, not like
    yellow or green, say.

[1] Not to press change when it offers an American spelling.

Well it doesn't have to be but it would be a nice little accent which
would emphasise the overall blueness of the whole thing.

Ebay is wonderful for that sort of stuff. I sold a pair of old
throwover panniers not so long ago to an Italian - it cost 3 times a
much to post it to Italy is it did to win the auction, but I think he
must have a Belstaff fetish or something, cos he's bought a few more
    Belstaff items since.

And this evening an auction for a Z750 manual was won by a Dutch guy,
and it went for a lot more than I was anticipating. I'm certainly not
    complaining, though.
This *could* be your downfall if you start E-Bay-ing. [1]

[1] Or should it be E-Baying?

Make sure it's a full 4 seasons one.

Had just picked up the bike in the morning and decided to attend the
BOSM with just a lightweight summer sleeping bag and bivouac because of
storage problems and being too excited at my first sports bike to think
    straight.

If it wasn't for a certain lady crashing her bike and me getting to
sleep in her tent whilst she was attending A&E I'm pretty sure I was
going to suffer from hypothermia. Found out that beer gardens have
lot's of bumps and stones in the ground too.

Next time I made sure I fitted a one man tent, self-inflating campamat
and 4 seasons sleeping bag on the back of a CBR600RR3.

Carrying things in a rucksack on your back is *not* a good thing. A
former poster on here (former as in, he no longer posts but could if he
wanted to) broke his back in an accident, he was carrying a rucksack on
his back. IIRC a can of coke caused his injury, but I'm sure Spete can
confirm or deny the can of coke bit.

A lot of stuff is available nowadays to hold whatever it is you need
in, it's up to you to decide what it is you want, and if whether you
want something removable (tankbags, throwovers), semi-permanent (hard
cases that can be removed from the mountings still attached to the
    bike), or permanent.

    *waves*

I've got one, in the garage somewhere. Great it is, especially for the
camping fortnight at the TT with all the luggage.

platypus emerged from their own little world to say
Or black. My French teacher frequently beated me with a black, size 13 dap.
I'm not sure which one of us enjoyed it more :)

Blame the ex, I had to suffer that shite day in day out when I lived
with her. After about a year she got the hint and used to turn it off
when I walked in the house. If she didn't, I did.
