  1. You can't get a decent night's kip in a small car unless you're pissed
to the point of passing out.

    A tent's much better.

There is a fucking sight more than four fucking poofs round here.

There is the half of you that will be putting your bikes back in the
shed when a cloud comes over next week for a start.

Don't Aldi keep doing cheapo tents for a tenner or something?

Anyway you don't need panniers - tents don't fit reet well in panniers,
they're much happier strapped across the pillion seat. For this you'll need
    a couple of bungee cords.

You end up with your tent and sleeping bag (wrapped in a bin liner) strapped
over your pillion seat, a pair of shoes and other bits and bobs in a tankbag
and a change of clothes in your rucksack. Sorted.

I've not been around here long enough to get to know anyone yet. Are
any of Dorothy's Friends coming to BoSM, or is it just me so far? No,
I'm not looking to share a tent, I'm just interested in making some
connections. Not that I have a problem with straight people. Infact,
some of my best friends are straight. And female. Err. I'll get my
    coat.
Perhaps he does a bit of cottaging. Married men appear to frequent
such places, so I'm told, officer.

I don't think you have any real appreciation of just how drunk people get at
    these *OSM things.

If some beautiful little burd can sleep under a bivvy on a cold and
frosty night up there then you can manage a fucking tent and that was
    before we had global warming.

What is it about you poofs these days eh? All fucking wusses the lot of
you. In my day we had proper poofs we did. Hard they were. Kin had to
be really considering the times they were around in. Not all soft and
pink pawed like you lot. It is getting so you can't the poofs apart
from the rest of them you are all so bleeding soft.

In my experience it's not sleeping in a tent that's the problem - its
waking up in one, with someone whom you might not have decided to meet
    - fate or fete, it's up to you.

Nick emerged from their own little world to say
No, I'm not going to be there. I'm taking a week off to go to Salou from 29
March. I've got too many imminent deadlines [1] to take any more time off.

On the camping front, I've tried it twice since taking up motorcycling. I
hate it, even if on a proper campsite[2]. Fortunately I did not go to the
expense of buying a tent as I shared with a mate.

[1] final weeks of my degree course
[2] those French ones where you stay somewhere warm in what is effectively
    a canvas house are okay

  20. I can't, because i) I don't give a toss, and ii) I don't have the ability
to 'spot' gays, as some straight men claim to. I do recall reading
somewhere, though, that the proportion of gay men to straight men, was
1:10. And I reckon that there has to be more than forty male posters here,
even if not all of them post very regularly. That's why I thought, 'more
    than four'.
