That was taken off him after the British Rally.

tbh, I don't really like watching any motorsport. Rallying was ok in
the old days when spectators used to get killed - good telly, that.

I was only surprised he drove a Ferrari rather than a Toyota F1 car given
the Yamaha/Toyota link up and the fact that Ferrari are sponsored by the
    same chaps as Ducati.....

*wince* - Some scary crashes there - made all the scarier by the slo-mo
    footage.

I like how, 1m15s in, the guy sliding along post-crash attempts to lift his
arse off the tarmac as, presumably, it's getting a tad hot.

But I think that he will do what only Surtees has done and win the F1 as
    well.
Have met him and he is not a jumped up twat like Foggy et al.
He can do what it says on the tin.

That rather puts the dampers on plans for October.

I'll go for the atmos and the company - and because I know where the
racers and brolly dollies will be drinking after the race.

Could it be that it's something to do with Italy?

I think it was more to do with his Honda contract last year.

He was invited a couple of years ago to drive the Ferrari and Honda
wouldn't let him as they were an engine supplier to BAR. Dave Richards
(BAR boss) wouldn't let him drive a BAR. Now he's a Yamaha rider there
is pretty much nothing stopping him taking the F2004 for a quick spin.

And by all accounts he was quick.

Varying reports of 3 to 7 seconds off the lap record, but more
importantly, he was quicker than Luciano Burti (the Ferrari test
    driver) on the day.

    I can see it now.

I noticed that too. I also liked the Cobra on the track. It didn't
    last long though.

I suppose it's boring to win all the time.
Didn't he try a 206WRC on Rally GB the year before last? Didn't get very
    far IIRC.
    Not perfect, then........
