So that's only 3/2 to me - keep going Ben, you'll get there
    ;-)

Or maybe we could count it as a *whooosh* of Champs?

Err, no. Triple Sec is the generic term for a liqueur of which
    Cointreau is a specific brand.

Depends what brand you get. Obviously there's some variation between
    manufacturers.

Which is also triple sec, of course.

"is also /a/ triple sec" is more accurate, because it helps identify
that there exists a generic triple sec in its own right (the Bols one,
    probably).

Eh? 'Generic' implies that the product can be made/packaged/sold by
anyone who so desires. There are several well-known brands selling
product simply as 'brand X triple sec', as well as the others, like
Cointreau and Grand Marnier, who just market it under their own brand
    names.

yes, yes, yes - I meant "eponymous", not "generic". I always think of
the Bols-branded "triple sec" as Triple Sec, IYSWIM.

Noting, of course, that Bols Blue is labelled as curacao...

    well, yes.

Slightly more confusingly, you can get "Curacao" that /isn't/ blue.

Rubbish. All of the various brands capitalise the name on the bottle.
Nope, the XXX is the full brand name. Triple Sec, capitalised or not,
is the type of product, very much like you might get Gordon's,
Gilbey's, Simian's or whatever other brand of gin.
Nope, it'd be like him saying he had both Glenmorangie and Whisky.
Or Bols. In fact, I'd think that one the most common by far.
