    Hi,

I started riding a motorcycle again after a 15 year break. I find that the bike I now own (Honda
VFR) has a fairly light gear shift action. My current boots do not give me any feedback (touch) of
the gear lever as the boots are fairly heavy in design. What boots are recommended for light
touring that would still provide good foot control feedback?
I'm not interested in the knee length racing boots that seem to be available at every motorcycle
shop, as I would like to be able to walk around in my boots at the end of the ride.

    Thanks,

Cruiserworks make fairly light boots that should provide good
feel. They have no mechanical armor but do have a kevlar layer. After
a year of use and about 15 K miles, mine sre still absolutely
    waterproof. http://www.cruiserworks.com/

Not to mention that they're really comfortable. Make sure you try
them on first tho - the slipons fit more tighly than the zipons.
