  1. Like most people with an expensive habit, I'm a pusher.

I just came back from a trip to visit relatives, and stopped off to visit
a 2nd hand bookshop in Uralla[1]. I didn't quite realise from the front
window what it was like... My wallet will take a while to recover! [2]

In order to enable other sad cases, you can see their catalogue (which
is only a part of the whole) at http://www.burnetsbooks.com.au

Spotting an addict the way good bookshop owners can, he also gave
me a flier for the Uralla Book Fair Sat 15 and Sun 16 September.
"16 exhibitors offering thousands of fine, rare, and collectable books."

So... as that's at the other end of Thunderbolt's Way, and the road to
Inverell and beyond's quite fun too... anyone want to join me on a ride
    up that way?

    Zebee
[1] the one in New South Wales....
[2] Still, I got more books than the same amount would have got me
from psbooks.co.uk another place addicts should avoid.

Maybe it's not the place, it's just the people you meet there.

  3. Mate of mine lives in Uralla, name of Dink. He's mad as anybody on two
wheels. Likes the early 80s Suzukis and has a very nice Katana or two.
S'pose he's not that mad after all.

Only time I've been to Uralla I had a BIG thunderstorm follow me up
the hill from Tamworth. Finally caught me a Uralla and it pissed down.
Thus my memory of the place is grey and very wet!

Yeah, but how fucking good is the ride up that hill in the dry eh !
(When I was up there in April the rain came from a different direction
but gave us time to get a room at the pub, unload the bikes and park
them in the bottle shop drive through before the heavens opened up.)

Many of the UNE academics have moved there - it makes for a very
strange combination of inbred locals and scatterbrained imports

    (nice town I thought)
