    Blimey, yes I'd forgotten about that. It was too much Poe.

    Now that's the one. I think it's because I'm trying to forget. I think
    I was about 20 when I read it. I went from Lovecraft a wandering
    through all the sub Lovecraft authors (Lumley, Barker) but the genre
    no longer appeals to me.

    Might be time to dig them out for Joe <g>

    Doesn't ring any bells. Stop recommending stuf, despite the huge
    inroads made over the week (and 'lhe lovely bones' gets another
    recommendation) the book pile and list is still enormous.

    Oh don't you fucking start <g> It is now next. Then the rest of the
    books I borrowed from Steph. There's only so many hours in the day,
    it's no wonder I never get any sleep <wanders off muttering>

    Yes. About 10 years ago. I've always read more fantasy than sci-fi
    though I've dabbled in Asimov et al.

    <waves fantasy stick>
    Go and read Mists of Avalon. And McCaffrey and Katherine Kerr.

    I tend to read modern novels (last 50 years) more than anything else
    atm. That and myth stuff. The best of them incorporate both <g>

    Is it? Oh. Did I say I enjoyed the Bad Mother's Handbook btw? The
    problem is Brick Lane is on the pile of books next to the bed and for
    some reason I haven't been reading in bed for a few months. I'll move
    it onto one of the other piles.

    snip
    Good this holiday lark isn't it?

    Music, that's what I've not chosen today. I've been treated to all 3
    Queen greatest hits CDs and some strange modern stuff. Oh I did hear
    The Killers Mr Brightside - reminds me of The Bluetones but not at all
    like them IYSWIM

    <fires up winamp>

    <Hits random >

    I don't fecking believe it - Queen Bohemian Rhapsody!

    <hits random>

    James - sit down.

    <sways along>
