Bollocks. I think. No redundancy.

  1. Seems that they want to keep me and so any chance of a nice redundancy
    wedge has evaporated.

    Hohum. I suppose it's good news :-/

I had a strong hunch they wouldn't let you get away.

Might be a good time to negotiate some Golden Handcuffs. Fixed term.
Leaving bonus. Agreed tasks and responsibilities.

I'm assuming they want to make changes but be left with a viable trading
    profit centre.

Oh go on, don't tell me someone would notice a difference in the quality of
    your work?

  9. Well, you're abroad a substantial amount of the time anyway, and a lot
of that seems to be in S.Am already, and I'm sure BB connections are
    available in Chile.
What about a half and half approach?

The plan for moving to Chile is to work for myself. That involves me
flogging my current outfit all manner of stories, and offering my
services for conferences, exhibitions, etc. I'm happy to do that, but
I don't want to be on the payroll, as it were.

I've long preferred New World wines - the French are so
stuck-in-the-mud about stuff; they won't even adobt the Stelvin
closure even though it was one of them that came up with the idea.

that said, I still love Champagne.
