    Here's an odd one.
I am looking for some body armour... not for practical use, it's for
halloween. A "motorcyclist from hell" kinda look. Not mad max though, that's
trashy and dirty. I want very tech/cyber looking stuff (black and silver
    preferably, to match my CB750).
Any ideas? Will rent or buy.

You'll need to hang out at a Ducati shop.

Dunno anyone who rents them,a nd the stuff you want will set you back
    about $250-$300 I think.

Go to a dirtbike shop, they'll have body armour of all kinds... You
might find it easier on the wallet to buy a very cheap chest protector
and some skateboard pads, and a couple of cans of paint.

Indeed. Does MCA Supermarket (Wentworth St) do offroad accessories? I also
considered military style armour but not sure where to get stuff that looks
like that (obviously not real military grade stuff).

If you can find yourself military grade armour please let the Australian
Defence Force know where it is, 'cause they can't find it either!

My mum's over, so I'm sorta grounded. You could tape the other (non-gp)
stuff for me if you want to be a good bloke :)

Why would the Aust army want it anyway? Just cause the Yanks use it,
    it doesn't mean its useful.

Do you want me to ask your mum if you can come over to play?

There's some stuff called GoatHerd Armour. It's like a mesh vest with armour
attached, meant to wear under another jacket. It'd probably look good on the
    outside. Perhaps a bit MadMax....
