I hope this url travels well, apparently the bike does!

I have a picture but I don't know where to put it so you can all
    see it.

The price has dropped some, and I'm wondering if I should leave
    it another 6 months!

    Advice gratefully accepted.

I don't buy the handling claims for these but it's a very nice little
bike. It needs a 1000cc conversion of course! at £1500 it would be a
    nice buy.

  6. I always thought they handled nicely, but the R65 was the best-handling
    ShiteOldBoxer.

Trouble with this one is that it's uncomfortable, short-geared and
under-braked, and there's no lug on the spare fork leg for a second
    caliper.

Oh, and they drink fuel like you wouldn't believe.

I agree - even £1750 is just too much, for what is one of the more
    undesirable boxers.

it's rare because no bugger wanted them in the first place,
    ferChrissakes.

£1500 is about right, and that's assuming the cosmetics are good -
there's no mention of those at all, which is a bit worrying. The fact
that the seat needs re-covering is an indication that they might not be
as good as the mechanical bits.

Bugger. I had thought it would be an ideal 2nd bike for me, as
    below, smaller, naked and nippier.

I used to enjoy my 80/7.

I have also been thinking of a Transalp, but all those I've seen
are too dear, and then along come a couple of Armstrongs on ebay.

As most of my riding is local, I'ld like something smaller and
    cheaper to run.

    No rush.
