BMW U-joint spiders

  1. Try this lot:

Unbelievably good service. New parts and used.

There's some eBay shyster in the US trying to flog a set of panniers to
fit K-bikes. The panniers have defective locks, and he's asking $450,
and telling people that new they're $3000!

Motorworks have 'em for one-fifth that price, and that's with working
    locks ;-)

  2. Indeed. That's why the BMW F800GS comes with chain drive, whereas the
pure road versions have a belt.

  3. Thanks for the lead. I tend to go for U.S. spares and
foreign specialty parts. The final drive I bought on eBay,
supposedly with about 35,000 miles on it cost $143,
    including shipping.

Overseas parts seem to take forever, probably because
we have to make sure they're not some kind of fiendish
device to blow up the United States.
$90 is a pretty good price for a single bag and a great one
for a pair. I'll keep 'em in mind.

  4. Erm, one fifth of $3000 is six hundred bucks.

  6. Thought you meant 1/5 of $450.

$600 is OK I guess, but I'd be reluctant to pay
    more than half that much.

  7. Anyone here know where I can get goodies like titanium valves or
lifters or Corillo rods for my R75 ?

    Sorry, my bad.
I bought a good used pair on eBay UK recently for £185, or about $300.
Even that's not cheap, but very little with a BMW badge on it is
    cheap, is it?
