    just bought a 1991 K75SA, and I have a couple of questions.

    1. What grade of gas is required. The manual says 91 Octane
rating, but the salesman (who has owned a couple of K75's and
ridden one across the country) says that they will run on anything.
Is there a consensus among people who own these bikes?

    2. Are there any active BMW computer forums?

    Thanks!

I use Regular in my 92 K-75 and it never pings unless I leave it in 5th
gear at very low rpm s and accelerate hard.

Congratulations on entering the world of BMW's.

I'd stick with the 91 Octane, true you can get by on lower octane fuel but
is it really worth it for the few cents you save?

As for BMW forums I'd suggest http://www.bmwmoa.org/index.html . If you
join this organization you get a great magazine every month plus what is
refered to as the "Anonymous Book" which lists many members who are willing
to give a helping hand if you run in to difficulties on the road.

Is it worth what? If your engine runs well on 87 octane, there is NO
advantage to running 91 octane. None.
