  1. gotta say, that does look rather fun.

Austin Shackles. www.ddol-las.net my opinions are just that
Once, when the secrets of science were the jealously guarded property of
a small priesthood, the common man had no hope of mastering their arcane
complexities. Years of study in musty classrooms were prerequisite to
obtaining even a dim, incoherent knowledge of science.
Today, all that has changed: a dim, incoherent knowledge of science is
available to anyone. - Tom Weller, Science Made Stupid, 1986

Well, AFAIR he's been specialising in older BMWs for ages, he was
certainly around when I was living in Germany and reading the classic
rags there. He's been on my BMW links page for quite some time :)
Yup, that's where I got the parts from my /5 from. Not sure if they
still ship to the US and Canada (PeterT is in California) as they
mentioned at some point that the shipping cost was bordering on the
    unreal.

If you are looking for BMW try this site in Germany good value plus
    tax/insurance to get home

    http://www.motoscout24.autoscout24.de/public/home.aspx

If you can read German even better, but you can work out most of the posts,

Well, thank you. I doubt I'll have any difficulties reading German, but I
suppose the chance of getting the bike to where I am now (i.e. West Coast,
USA) might be a tad difficult. ;-) Anyway, bought myself a K75S now, which
so far has been a pleasure to ride.
