    Higher speeds into corners mean higher speeds out; better braking means
    more confidence with restricted views and later braking. All in all
    adding up to higher point A to point B speeds making a faster bike.

    OT completely, but today whilst I was bowling, the RAF Battle of Britain
    Memorial Flight flew over my club, and not very high either. Well, the
    Spitfire and the Lancaster anyway. Wow! Luvverly sound all them Merlins
    make. Quite put me off for a minute or two that did. An Me-109 followed
    for good measure, too.

  3. Don't they just.

    Four weeks ago we were watching the sea otters at Pebble Beach and we heard
    That Noise. There was a guy tooling down the coast in a P51D Mustang at
    about 100 ft. Quite made the day, it did.

    Reminds me of the "Fawlty Towers" episode where Cleese tells the staff that
    no matter what, they mustn't mention the war to their German visitors.
