Took a novice mate up today, to whome I owed money for services rendered

Managed to get him kitted out with:
    FT Winter gloves £20
RST textile jacket and trousers with removeable thermals etc £65 for both
    AVG lid £75 from £220.

Bloody wish I'd managed that price when I'd started

Got myself a new Uvex Wing with guarantee this time for £125 as well

    And lovely weather.

All in all a good day

You think that it's suddenly less effective now it's reduced from £220? (The
    lid, not the head)

But, but, but everyone says its wrong to buy a cheap lid ("what value do
you put on your head"). That's a cheap lid so you're trying to KILL your
friend. Worse, trying to turn him into a vegetable.

I hope there is a God and he punishes you for your wickedness.

    He's already a vegetable ;)

Anyway it's not a cheap lid, it's an expensive lid at a reduced price
If there is a God, that's going to be a *long* way down the list of things
    he wants to discus......
