Anybody know what the go was with those blue lines on the left of the road back
from the Phillip Island GP track?

I did see a sign saying that they werent in operation yet but that was all. But
saw a few bikes overtaking along 'em :)

Oh and something interesting, when I briefly pulled over to the left of the road
outside the track to send an SMS a cop quickly drove up to me and told me to
    move on.

I was right over to the left behind the white line not blocking any traffic. He
couldn't have known what I planned to do, I could have been broken down for all
he knew. Wonder if track management had anything to do with it because where I
was stopped there was a clear view of the race through the fence :)

The blue line is to divide the - normally single lane road - into 2 lanes.
Only used pre and post race to help reduce the traffic bottleneck.
