You can safely ignore all the threatening letters. I had at least 20
all threatening dire consequences and immediate visits. If they'd
bothered at any time to got to the address they were threatening me
for they'd have spotted it was empty with a for sale sign. Their
system is obviously fucked as I'd transferred the licence to this
address and had since renewed it.

As you say the victim of this nonsense is expected to front up for a
stamp or call a premium rate line. It's possible to tell them you've
moved on their webshite now but only if the recognise the post code.
So if you're off abroad then no chance.

 

I have it on VHS which I can copy to DVD-R if you like. Offers is
open until the next VCR recording kicks in 7:30pm tonight (Friday).

 

I am dubbing it across to the HD/DVDR now so I can extend the window
of time (and watch it again myslef at the same time).

 

And writing to them doesn't stop the letters anyway, just gives them a
name to address them to.

Apparently the Citizens Advice Bureau have a special number they can
phone which stops the harassment (sp?), but I haven't bothered with
that yet.
