Bloody noisy fighting birds.

Right outside my sodding window, a pair of jays and a crow have been
battling it out for the last two hours. Lots of feathers flying, and I
think the crow might have got the better of them and eaten the
    eggs/young out of the nest.

SWMBO delivered 30 free baguettes to GWR this morning & all she got was
a tiny "we're just finishing our breakfast, delivered by 2~Jacks Cafe
this morning. They're very nice" on air. Bit mean I thought.

Ho yuss. I was halfway round the M25 when I felt that dread
trickling-in-the-crotch sensation that tells you that the waterproofs
    aren't any more. :^(

I am now sitting here looking like Auvache's younger bother, wondering
if I can bear to go out for a sandwich.

    Better than nothing I s'pose.
I quite like the ones who do the breakfast show. Bloke's a biker too.
Plus they've got Simon Bates doing Our Tune now - legend.

My business partner and his family live 100 yards from the Beckhams[1]
house and were kept awake until 03.00 by Robbie Williams singing at
their World Cup party last night.

No point in complaining as all local police were at the event.

I will send over all the neighbour's cats who like to use my garden as
a war zone. They could do with a change of pace.

That was one of the worst bits of R1 way back when. And there were a
lot of bad things around. I don't think it really ever got better.

Why is it that in the US and Canada there is such a wide range of
types of Radio station, with a guaranteed proportion of them playing
mainly rock type music, but in the UK and Europe these sorts of
    stations just do not exist?

Yeah, I can get it at home on Sky. Quite a recent thing, though, and
AFAICT only available on DAB and just in London.

My radio-listening is, and always has been, limited to a morning-call
clock radio (perhaps 30 minutes, although it usually gets pushed to
'snooze' cos there's always crap music and talking) and in-car. It's
the latter that pisses me off - there's so much stuff that I actively
dislike that it's rare I'll stick on one channel for more than ten
minutes. Round here the best is probably RTL2 - 'Radio pop-rock' but I
can't get decent reception all the time.

Should keep things quite for a day or two then. I had starlings dig a hole
in my soffitt and set up home there. Every fucking morning they were trying
to out-do the noise they made the day before.

    I fucking hate birds.
