I got refused service at my local BP yesterday, as I refused to take my lid off.
Well, I've been going there for 8 years or so, so I'm mightly pissed off.

Anyway, I wanted to twitter it, so as to show people the station to avoid. So
this morning, whilst doing my rounds, I stopped off there to take the
location, etc and do the business.

The problem was that I cut the engine, whilst twittering and when I tried to
restart it, nada. Nothing. Bollox. Dead battery.

It wasn't too bad though. I managed to get it into 2nd after a bit of huffing
and puffing, and then bump start it.

    Bloody karma or what?

  2. Had the same issue at my local bp station been using it for twenty
years had company bp fuel account thier all my family used it etc .

What really pushed my buttons he had just served two (i am assuming)
women in full hijab face totally covered his excuse when i complained
its thier religion (bollocks its not) they dont commit crimes (again
    bollocks) .

I phoned BP accounts thier and then and closed the fuel account down

Moved to my local Shell station , fuels cheaper they dont give a ****
if i wear my lid , i get lots of freebies (car washes , screen wash ,
    glass cleaner etc )

We estimated that between the business and family they are loseing
around £3500.00 a month in sales
    **** em

  3. Might I just point out that it is a part of the teachings of The First
Church of UKRM that protective headgear may be worn at all times while
engaged in activities associated with motorcycling and were you to become
one of my flock you too could claim religious imperative and **** them
    right in the eyes.

I've never been asked to take my helmet off on the Continent.

In my area, BP seem to be more enlightened, or at least the staff do. I use
one with an M&S shop near an M4 junction at Newport. They have signs that
*request* you take your helmet off but none of the staff ask.

Same with the one in town, although it is an independent and they tend to
be more realistic. Waitrose on the other hand can go **** themselves.

I had some hassle in France a couple of years ago when the attendant
refused to start the pump until I'd got off the bike, rather than
letting me fill up while still sitting on it.

Took a while to work out what the problem was - she was gesticulating
and babbling at me in foreign, expecting me to understand. Peasant.

I had one garage near Wapping refuse to pump until I'd taken my helmet
off once, but I indicated where he could stick his petrol and left
    without fuelling.

Other than that, never had any hassle anywhere.

Anyone else thought that it might be an idea to put 'Motorcycles', or
similar, in the religion box on the census form? Remember the Jedi of
    2001?

  8. While the idea does have merit, the whole idea of the Jedi option was seen
(by many) as an opportunity for those of us who did it to send a huge ****
off and die with your sky fairy nonsense message to those who seek to
control our thoughts. THEY didn't like it so this time, by making
relgionousness an option, those particular cunts have effectively
scuppered any chance of getting at the truth and organised religion will
see it as a signal to continue to practice it's unsavoury doings unchecked
and unrestrained in this green and pleasant land.

I once had the surreal experience in the Tesco's at Ponder's End, of
fuelling up, but then they insisted I removed my helmet before they'd
    accept payment - totally silly.

I had one garage refuse to enable the pumps while I was wearing a
helmet "For reasons of safety". I asked what the problem was and they
said I could rob them if I kept my helmet on and they wouldn't be able
to identify me. I helpfully pointed out that I wasn't in the habit of
performing armed robberies after I filled up with fuel and that if I
was going to rob them I wouldn't be filling with fuel first to
minimise my time in the garage.

I had another refuse to accept payment unless I removed my helmet. I
pointed out I already had the fuel and I was willing to pay but that
he was unwilling to accept my payment. I ended up removing my helmet
(since I didn't have time to wait for the police to arrive) and then
after paying I went out onto the forecourt and removed about twelve
nozzles from their holsters before I left. Waste my time and I'll
    waste yours...

I haven't gone back to either of those garages and don't intend to in
    a hurry.

  16. You can but it really shows you have a rather low iq

    Where did i mention race

I take it you assume all muslims are Asian or black which tends to
give credance to the fact the only racist around here is you

Full Hijab... so he had no idea what race they are.
Could be anything from the (ever more common) fat Caucasian through Bangla
    to Arab to Indonesian.

I can see where the likes of the BHA are coming from with their
campaign but I really can't see that it will reach enough people who
give a shit. The god botherers will still almost certainly be in the
majority come results day. I'm just dreaming of being able to go up
to the pump monkey in my local garage and tell him that removing my
lid is against my religion with some legitimacy.

The cashier in my local petrol station told me if I didn't clean my
number plate he would refuse to sell me petrol in future . I've also
had a debate about whether the Z650¹ tank that I was carrying was a
    suitable container for petrol.

¹Much easier bike to take the tank off than push about a mile.
