    Arsebiscuits.

I made a mistake and took a cage in for its MOT too early. (MOT runs out
5th Dec, took it in 19th Oct.)

It failed on a minor issue which I've now sorted - been for re-test and
got the new ticket. I assumed I'd get 13 months, but nope, expiry is on
    the anniversary of the retest.

    Cock.

Or, since you're talking about a cage, looking at the sticker in the
windscreen and deducting a month from the date printed on that?

Might work if sticker a) didn't fall off in < 11 months and b) illegibly
fade and c) get stuck up in the first place

I just look at the licence in the windscreen for the date a car needs an
    MOT.

I met a deadline today, finishing one stage of the project. i can't
start the next stage until after a meeting on the 29th.

I think this means I can no longer avoid the 'must sort that' pile,
which includes my tax return. I hate the bit just before i do it. Once
i get going it is easy because I keep everything in sensible places
where I can find them but the bit before actually going to find them -
    yuck.

If it has tax it obviously doesn't need an MOT - you only need an MOT to
    get tax.
