I'm curious to know how this "someone" knows where I live, but doesn't
know my phone number. I keep neither of these facts particularly
    secret.

I got a bus a couple of month's back. Smelt awful. Don't they
    disinfect the things?

Hang on, I know where you live but I've probably deleted your phone
    number since you became unemployable....

The mystery caller was me, as you know.

I didn't care as such either, I was just trying to find out why there
was a cordon to see if there was any mileage in Darsy's possible
    misfortune.

  15. I get lots of stick at work for shopping at Poundland and Aldi[1].
I saw tonight that the old Woolworths shop in Uxbridge had reopened -- as
a Poundland. Much bigger than the old one so you can actually fit people
two abreast down the aisles. Found it amusing that the layout was almost
exactly the same as the old one, but stretched out in both dimensions. The
old one in the Pavilions was still open, but I guess it will close soon
and M&S expand into it for space to sell KitKats.

    [1] Conversation last week:
    "Look at my new toy."
"A HD flash-card 10X optical-zoom video recorder! Where did you get that,
    Poundland?"
    "No, 120-Poundland."
    "Ah, Aldi..."

Batteries don't last very long do they? I'm not suprised mind, they're bloody
tiny. Not bad output compared to my old Sony DV camcorder too.
