Well, I had my jacket and gloves[1] in there too. And the removable
radio thingy, and some space. Honest.

[1] This bike makes me ride sans jacket and gloves. Very Blaneyesque.

    Oh, alright, then.
They do. Last year I popped out for ciggies from Linda's mum's house
in T-shirt and jeans, and ended up in Spain.

    Heh.

To be fair, it was the GPS that got us home again, as I had no useful
    map to hand.

It puts hot fuel back into the tank???

Yes. It's actually the most common way for automotive[1] fuel
injection systems to regulate fuel pressure- there has to be some
way for the bled-off fuel to return to the tank.

[1] Dunno about most FI bikes.

I had enough trouble backing the fucking thing out of its parking space,
so write that up as a big fat NO!

Hats off to you for succeeding though. You're madder than a box of Lady

Just sussed this thread. Damn I never even thought of trying to hoist the
    bugger!
Straight line I was impressed, goes some for a big'un, then I tried to take
an acute adverse camber T junction on a hill and it all got very worrying.
Then I tried to corner it hard at 95plus and it got even more worrying.
    Want one!!!

Carrie recounts that riding pillion on the Voyager made her feel sea sick. I
suggest you may have dropped your guts in a "morning after beer" manner into
the still air pocket behind the fairing Nigel.

Odd, I'd have thought she'd be used to that. I'll give it a miss next
    time.
