Stick it on for a couple of days an it'll be fine.

You can't bump start it with a totally flat battery as there is no
power to the injectors and therefore no fuel.

You would have been able to jump start it off your car though.

Should do. Battery is pretty new.

Stratford is fine as I won't have *ages* but a couple of hours would be

I did get it to start but then it cut out while I was putting my gear on
(lack of fuel I guess). It then half turned over before "bzzzt"ing
again. At this point I was too knackered to be arsed bump starting it
again. I'm going home at lunchtime to give it another go and just check
there isn't anything else wrong although there doesn't seem any reason
why there would be.

 

I'll drop you a line on Friday and we'll work out a time and a meeting
place.

Streetbike have currently got the F.Fabbri ones in for the thou (light and dark tint).
It's the same make that I had on the SV and has an excellent finish. 40 quid or
thereabouts.

Yeah. They had at least a dark and a light tinted one in on Saturday - I
bought the light tint one and it seems it fits 2001 model 600/1000 (I'm
assuming that like the 600 the 2001/2002 thou is the same). So unless
they've had a double-bubble rush on there should still be some there.

The only minor thing I'm not keen on is that it has a small "Fabbri" logo on
it (same as the one on the SV if you ever noticed). But you certainly won't
cut your hand open on the finish like the powerbronze ones I can email a
couple of pics if you like.

 

600/750/1000 all that the same fitting. I'll pop up on Saturday if I
have time.

It's the cutting your hand bit open that I didn't like about the one I
had on the 750. If you're out to play on Saturday morning I'll have a
look at yours then.
