    Bit like the '88 GPX with the blown engine, more kms, more crash damage,
    (and no rego!) I offloaded on ebay for $1050. Seems people are often
    mind-bogglingly stupid.

    So how many km did you get out of yours before it went pop?

    The Jackal lasted 130,000 before it needed new pistons/barrels,
    although technically it was still running (just couldn't quite maintain
    110km/h any more, that's all!)

    Nameless Boy was making a very worrying ticking noise from somewhere
    deep inside the motor at about 35,000.

    Not really sure actually... The odo said 60,000ish, but the engine
    wasn't original anyway. I think it actually went pop because of some,
    shall we say, well intentioned "maintenance" from my housemate at the
    time.

    It caught fire shortly thereafter.
