Blimey, that was easy.

A mere four hours solid work to remove and replace the rear wheel on the
Blingmobile. And only two bolts left, and two sheared off[1]. Bargain.

    You have to:

Remove the top box and panniers
Remove the tool box (having fitted electrical connectors because the
clueless **** who fitted the alarm hardwired it into the box)
Remove both sections of the rear mudguard
    Remove the rear bumper
    Remove the rear subframe
    Remove the axle
Unbolt the rear diff from the drive shaft.
    Remove the rear wheel.

Reassembly is simply the reverse of this procedure.

Except for the two mysterious bolts... (They're probably not important
    ones anyway).

At least Colin Collins had the right sized tyre in stock, and fitted it
    straight away.

I've fitted the new Skidmarx screen as well. I recommend these people
highly. The screen was pretty reasonably priced for such a rare bike
(£45-ish), and arrived within ten days of order (they quoted two weeks).
It arrived in a *huge* box, with enough packaging to protect the crown
jewels. It also fitted straight on with no fuss or drama. Well done
    them.

    [1] Whilst doing them up. I are mostly a ham-fisted ****.

  2. Bargain indeed.
Unless you want somewhere to strap those disco lights ;-)
    Cor, that's a relief!
No need to fit armour in your trousers then ;-)

Indeed. I wouldn't be surprised on the Voyager, mind -
like I wouldn't be surprised to find it has a front diff too.

I keep picturing a big red train, rather than a motorcycle.

It's the coal tender that makes you see it that way, isn't it? That,
and the repeated, frequent stops to take on liquid replenishment.

    Of course you did, dear.

You provided a moment of light relief however, and that is no bad
    thing IMO.
