  1. The dome of the Invalides isn't grey. Plus it is topped with gold.
Plus it has Napolean Bonaparte's coffin within.

  3. Well, I've been there, and I'd say it reminded me of Birmingham before
they knocked most of it down and rebuilt it. And it stinks. And the
people are the unfriendliest on Earth.
Hmm, buildings. Grey ones at that. Lovely.

I could post a link to some piccies of our lake with the flamingos on
it. Or the olive groves. Or the fields of sunflowers. Or the beautiful
mountains. Or the amazing rock formations at El Torcal.

But I'm sure you'd rather look at grey buildings. And dogshit. And
    french people.

  5. What a strange, and blatantly untrue, thing to say. You *are* French!

  6. And there, precisely, is the problem with English weather.

  7. Erm ... yes. And ? There was never any doubt, except for the simpering
twats who wanted to make a name for themselves with the Clique.

  10. Sevilla is only an hour and a half from here, and I'm ashamed to say, I
haven't been there yet. But then I'm no big fan of cities. Soon though...

That's nothing. Mine read 32C[1] yesterday. 34C is the highest I've
seen it this year. But it's all coming to an end now. The clocks have
gone back and the evenings are drawing in.

    1. BTW does anyone know how do a shortcut to the degrees symbol on a
laptop? I'm used to typing alt+248 on the numeric key pad but it don't
work on my laptop because it doesn't have a separate numeric keypad.

    Perzackly.

It was due to the presence of formations like this, the ultimate
expression of limestone/karst landforms, that Elly went to Magaluf on
her field trip recently. Next year - the Grand Canyon. Hmph.
