I need to rebuild the calipers on the Tiger and my old brake bleeding kit
    has died, seals rotted away.

Searching the usual sources, tool suppliers, ebay etc, I find that new kits
    are bleeding expensive.

Ahhh, what's this I see.... "140ml Syringe with two tubes" just the job...

Ok, so it's meant be for feeding newborn lambs but, as it just arrived
today, I can confirm that it's great for filling and bleeding brake systems.

You can get almost any size of syringe for pennies at a decent chemist and
that tube stuck on the end isn't exactly a King's ransom either.

  5. Exactly - I get my big syringes from farmers' suppliers and nary an
eyebrow raised. Dead handy for all sorts of things they are.

I saw a normal syringe and a metal tube with a sliding "stop" for sale in
the Busters catalogue. These are used to suck fork oil out to get the airgap
correct on both legs, but at 35 quid I thought they were going a bit OTT.
Actually, it might have been more than that. I know they wanted 12 quid just
for the syringe and a bit of plastic tubing.
