I'm not sure I've *ever* given a Chinese burn, ever when I was under
the age of 12. Anyway, I do like the brakes on my gixer, but you
should note that they are actually different calipers than the ones on
the 6R/7R/9R/12R/GSX-R750/TL1000. How different, I don't know, but
definitely a different shape/fit.

I've heard it said that the GSXR1000 K1 callipers flex under load. Thus
reducing the breaking effect. It was a design default corrected in later
models. The ZX9R front brakes feal wooden when compared to the Sprint. But
I'm sure that is down to the disk material.

Buy all new parts and fit them. Or use brake cleaner and slave cylinder
grease from pucker car retailer.

Yeah when Pip showed me how to do pad changes properly, as opposed to
just stuffing another set of pads in, they were much better, but again,
and at the risk of banging on about it, try the R1's Sumitomo (sp?) 4
pot asymmetricals; they're in another league, non-fade wise.

to be insulting you or your bike.

Besides, in that condition I was willing to offer you 2500 quid for it
and spend some dosh tidying it up. I already have a nice 9R so I'm not
interested in Andy's shed, consequently I can be as rude to him as I
like.
