Mugello 2001 was generally hot. Couple of rain storms, over 10 days.

Heh. But it just wouldn't be the same without the smell of your
over-fueling flatslides leaving a trail for two miles behind you.

Been a couple like that, as it happens. Generally summer over here
    means summer, proper-like.

Wasn't it just. The K75RT over-heat lamp even came on.

  7. Oh yeah. That was a magic trip, that was.

Remember Niall and the wet wipes/shoe polish error?

the owner of accommodation has alreagy identified himself and it's
surrounded by Alpine passes - I'll have a better idea in June, as I'm
visiting the area, staying in Meirengen

I'll be wearing my usual Halvarssons/Alpinestars combo, like what I wore
this evening for 130 miles of fucking torrential stairrods.

I think it was the flatside carbs that were your real problem, as
travelling behind you I was pretty much getting a nosee full of
    unleaded.

    Good, wannit?

I don't think I've got that wet since the last TOG Tour, but last night
I only went from Windsor to Bracknell.

My HG jacket is waterproof, my AS gloves less so and the boots were
good except where the water dripped down into the top. And I certainly
    won't mention a moist crotch...

I'm hoping that I can get it all dry enough to use The Power Of The
Nikwax on it all before Friday morning.

I haven't ridden in the wet in *years* ... probably 2005.

Still, it's all part of life's rich tapestry.

Depending on which NikWax product you're using, it doesn't need to be dry.

I have a tub of Nikwax and a separate sponge applicator. I guess
that's just the manual version of what you have. So applying whilst
    moist is OK, then?
